- Twelve chapters, from the kitchen to the loft
- A thirty-day tracker and seven stage-by-stage checklists
- A keep, shred or recycle guide for household paperwork
Most attempts to declutter a home stall because they start too big: every cupboard emptied at once, and a weekend that runs out before the job does. This guide takes the opposite approach. Each of the thirty days has one zone, sized to finish in an evening, and nothing new is opened until the last space is put back together.

It works through the home in the order you live in it — the kitchen first, then wardrobes, the bathroom and linen cupboard, the living room, bedrooms and children's rooms, paperwork, the hallway and laundry, and finally the loft, garage and spare room. Every room chapter says what to keep out, what to put away, and where things go when they leave, from charity shops to your council's recycling centre.

The last chapters turn the result into habits: storage chosen for what you actually kept, a ten-minute daily reset, a weekly admin slot and a seasonal swap. Eight printable checklists sit at the back — a thirty-day tracker, one for each stage of the plan, and a keep, shred or recycle guide for household paperwork.
From chapter three
The kitchen, one evening at a time
The plan starts in the room that works hardest. Each day is one zone: empty it, wipe it, sort it, put it back — and stop.
- Day 1Worktops and the sink
Only what you use most days stays out. Then the cupboard under the sink.
- Day 2Crockery, glasses and mugs
Count what a normal week uses, add a few for guests, pass on the rest.
- Day 3Pans, bakeware and tubs
Every tub matched to a lid. Keep the pans you reach for, not the set.
- Day 4Food cupboards
Dates checked, duplicates combined, shelves grouped by what you cook.
- Day 5Fridge, freezer and the drop zone
Restocked by shelf, then a home for keys, post and receipts.
How the plan keeps going when others stall
One zone, finished
Each day empties, cleans, sorts and refills one space before stopping. A drawer done properly beats a room half done, and nothing is left on the floor overnight.
Built around a real week
Smaller jobs fall on weekday evenings; the wardrobes, loft and garage go on weekends. Miss a day and nothing breaks — the plan is thirty jobs, not thirty dates.
Everyone decides for their own things
Shared rooms are sorted together, children choose with you, and nobody clears out anyone else's belongings. A toy rotation box replaces arguments about giving things away.
Kept, not repeated
The final chapter sets up a ten-minute daily reset, a weekly admin slot and spring and autumn swaps, so the home stays the way the plan left it.

Questions
Is this a physical book?
No. It is a PDF guide. The download link appears on the confirmation page straight after payment and is emailed to you as well, so nothing is posted and no address is needed.
Can I print it?
Yes. The file is unlocked, and the eight checklists at the back are laid out to print at A4 or A5 — or you can fill them in on a tablet.
Do I have to do it on thirty days in a row?
No. The plan is thirty jobs rather than thirty dates. If you miss a day you pick up the next job, and many people spread it over six weeks.
Do I need to buy storage boxes first?
No, and the guide asks you not to. Storage comes after the sort, once you know what you are keeping, with a chapter on what to measure and which containers suit which job.
Does it work with children at home?
Yes. There is a chapter on bedrooms and children's rooms — storage at their height, one type of toy per container, toy rotation, and a simple system for school paper and artwork.
